We are excited to invite a licensed and experienced professional to join us as a Social Worker 5-A, a key leader in delivering advanced clinical services within our secure care settings. In this impactful role, you will provide direct therapeutic support, guide case management efforts, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote rehabilitation, emotional wellness, and successful reintegration. We are seeking someone who brings strong clinical expertise, cultural humility, and a deep commitment to trauma-informed, youth-centered care.
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:
A master's degree in social work followed by four years of social services experience.

Job Duties:

Assessment
-
Conducts psychosocial and psychosexual assessments using interviews, testing tools, and collateral information.

Develops diagnostic impressions and treatment or placement recommendations for youth with complex needs.

Documents findings for case files, referrals, and court use.

Participates in multidisciplinary staffing and provides expert testimony in court.

Treatment
Creates individualized treatment plans and provides individual, group, and family therapy.
Leads psycho-educational groups for families and caregivers.
Prepares clinical documentation including progress notes, summaries, and discharge plans.
Provides counseling to detained youth and may deliver sex-offender–specific treatment.

Consultation & Education
Offers clinical consultation to regional staff, contract providers, and community agencies.
Provides staff development and training on adolescent development, mental health, LGBTQ+ topics, and more.
Supports or administers training programs for university interns.

Administrative
Assists with developing and monitoring community placement and treatment programs.
Contributes to regional and statewide policy development.
Completes special projects and serves as Employee Assistance Personnel.
Participates in audits, quality assurance activities, and regional boards focused on service improvement.
