To apply, please send resume and cover letter to Dalie Ripley at dripley@livonia.govThe Part-Time Social Worker is responsible for providing supportive services to public housing residents to promote housing stability, resident well-being, and successful tenancy. This position conducts social needs assessments, provides resource navigation and referrals, delivers educational workshops, and collaborates with housing staff to proactively address barriers that may impact lease compliance or independent living. This role focuses on assessment, referral, coordination, and short-term supportive case management and does not provide long-term clinical therapy services.Essential Job Functions Conduct voluntary social needs assessments with residents to identify barriers related to income, health, mental health, disability, family stability, or other social determinants of housing stability.Develop individualized action plans and connect residents to appropriate community resources and service providers.Provide short-term supportive case management focused on stabilization and resource connection.Conduct follow-up contacts to confirm successful referral outcomes and address service access barriers.Maintain professional boundaries and clearly communicate the scope of services.Intervene early in situations that may lead to lease violations, eviction risk, or crisis.Provide consultation to housing staff on complex resident situations while maintaining confidentiality standards.Support residents experiencing behavioral health or self-neglect concerns through referral and coordination with appropriate agencies.Plan and facilitate educational workshops for residents on topics such as housing stability, wellness, budgeting, conflict resolution, aging in place, and community resources.Encourage participation in supportive services.Maintain accurate, confidential case notes and service documentation.Track assessments, referrals, follow-up outcomes, and service utilization data.Prepare quarterly reports summarizing program activity and measurable outcomes.Assist with data collection necessary for grant compliance and evaluation.
