Social Worker-Independent Living Program

Join our dedicated team as a Social Worker in our Thrive Independent Living Program!
In this impactful role, you’ll use your skills and compassion to empower young adults on their journey toward independence and stability. You will support the Director of Independent Living by providing case management assistance, direct supervision, and hands-on guidance to individuals transitioning to self-sufficiency. This position plays a vital role in helping participants build essential life skills, achieve personal goals, and maintain a safe, supportive living environment. Campus housing may be available.

<Responsibilities>

• Assist the Director with case management for young adults in the Independent Living Program.
• Support participants in developing essential life skills, including budgeting, meal planning, time management, employment readiness, and communication skills.
• Monitor, document, and adjust progress toward individualized goals in coordination with the Director.
• Provide direct supervision, transportation, and assistance with daily living activities as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including required drills and documentation.
• Maintain accurate case records and collaborate with staff and community partners to support participant success.

<Requirements>

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or comparable field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with youth or young adults in a residential, educational or social service setting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to model appropriate behavior and life skills to young adults.
• Ability to work fliexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving.
• Must pass drug test and background checks.
• CPR/First Aid Credentials (or obtain within 30 days of hire)

<Work Environment and Physical Demands>

• This position involves both office work and fieldwork (transportation, shopping, supervision, etc.)
• May involve lifting up to 25 lbs., standing for extended periods and occasional travel.

Pay: $43,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
