Sofa Carpenter

We are hiring an experienced Sofa Carpenter to build and assemble high-quality sofa frames for custom and ready designs. The ideal candidate can work with measurements, drawings, or samples, and can produce strong, accurate frames ready for foam and upholstery.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, cut, and assemble sofa frames (single, 2/3 seater, L-shape, U-shape).
• Work with wood/plywood/MDF and select proper material for strength and durability.
• Build arms, bases, backs, and seat structures with correct alignment and finishing.
• Reinforce frames using braces, corner blocks, rails, and supports to prevent noise and weakness.
• Use tools safely: saws, drills, nail gun, stapler, clamps, sander, router (as applicable).
• Repair and rework frames (loose joints, uneven base, squeaking, cracks).
• Coordinate with upholstery/foam team to ensure correct size, comfort structure, and final fitting.
• Keep work area clean and follow workshop safety procedures.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience as a sofa carpenter / furniture frame carpenter (preferred).
• Good knowledge of sofa frame construction and durability.
• Strong measurement accuracy and finishing quality.
• Ability to work fast without compromising quality.
• Team player and able to follow instructions and deadlines.

Preferred (Advantage)

• Experience with custom-made sofas and made-to-measure projects.
• Curved/modern frame experience.
• Basic understanding of upholstery allowance and comfort structure.

• Salary: AED 2,000 – AED 2,800
