Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full Software Asset Management (SAM) lifecycle, ensuring compliance, optimizing license usage, and driving cost efficiencies across the organization. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and software vendors to maintain accurate inventories, streamline processes, and support effective technology governance.

Software Asset Inventory: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of software licenses, versions, and deployments throughout the organization.

License Compliance: Ensure adherence to software licensing agreements, monitor license usage, and take necessary measures to address any non-compliance issues.

License Optimization: Analyze software usage patterns, identify opportunities for optimization, and implement strategies to optimize license allocation and reduce costs (ex: co-term agreements).

Vendor Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with software vendors, negotiate licensing agreements, and handle license renewals and audits.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare software asset-related reports and documentation, such as license entitlements, deployments, usage, and compliance status.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve software asset management processes, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Training and Education: Provide guidance and training on software usage policies, license compliance, and industry best practices to internal employees, end-users, and stakeholders.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate software asset management risks, such as security vulnerabilities, unauthorized software usage, and potential legal implications.
What you will bring to the team:-
4–8 years of relevant experience in the field of Software Asset Management.

Possesses experience of working on multiple segments or entire SAM life cycle.

Ability to train and coach.

Bachelor’s degree.

Software Asset Management (SAM), Licensing & Compliance.

Expertise in SAM tools: Flexera, Ariba, ServiceNow.

Strong data analysis & MS Excel skills.

Vendor negotiation, license renewals & audits.

Asset lifecycle management & process improvement.

Risk management & cost optimization.

Documentation, reporting & stakeholder collaboration.
