Software Asset Specialist

Role Summary

We are recruiting a Software Asset Specialist to own end-to-end software license management — discovery,

entitlement reconciliation, optimisation, and audit readiness for enterprise software estates.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the SAM tool (Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro, Snow, USU) for discovery + reconciliation.
• Maintain entitlement records: contracts, true-ups, true-downs, renewals.
• Run effective-license-position (ELP) cycles for major vendors (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe).
• Identify optimisation opportunities (right-sizing, harvesting, edition changes).
• Prepare for and respond to publisher audits.
• Liaise with procurement, finance, and IT operations on license events.
• Maintain documentation and SAM playbooks.
  
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or equivalent.
• 4+ years in software-asset / license management.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe licensing models.
• Hands-on with one major SAM tool (Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro, Snow, USU, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with discovery sources (SCCM/MECM, Intune, Tanium, Lansweeper).
• Strong Excel + reporting skills.
• Professional English — mandatory.
  
  
  

Preferred / Nice To Have

• Working knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• IAITAM CSAM / CHAMP / CITAD certifications.
• Cloud licensing (Azure, AWS, M365 E3/E5) optimisation experience.
