Software Developer

About the Role:

We are hiring a Senior Developer with 3–5 years of strong experience in Python/Django, along with proven exposure to IoT integrations, automation systems, and machine learning models. You’ll be a key contributor to our new Project, helping build intelligent, scalable systems that integrate sensors, data analytics, and responsive automation workflows.

This role demands hands-on development, collaborative solutioning, and technical mentoring to junior engineers. You’ll work across both backend and integration layers — from device data ingestion to ML-based decision-making and dynamic automation workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and maintain core modules using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework
• Integrate IoT devices using standard protocols (MQTT, HTTP, WebSockets) and manage real-time data streams
• Collaborate with ML engineers to deploy predictive models and automation logic
• Build and expose APIs for external apps/web dashboards (HTML, JS-based UIs)
• Automate key system processes using event-driven logic and ML recommendations
• Ensure code quality through regular reviews, mentorship, and best practices
• Diagnose and solve complex system issues across the IoT → ML → Backend chain
• Participate in sprints, architecture reviews, and feature planning

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development
• Proficiency in Python, Django, and REST API development
• Hands-on experience with IoT device integration, protocols (MQTT/CoAP/HTTP), or platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32)
• Strong foundation in Machine Learning workflows – model integration, data pre-processing, APIs (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch basic usage)
• Familiar with HTML, CSS, and basic JS for integrating backend with web interfaces
• Experience with automation tools/scripting in production systems
• Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Comfortable with Git, CI/CD workflows, and Agile methodologies

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to edge computing and fog computing principles
• Experience working with cloud IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, etc.)
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and sensors/actuators in industrial or smart home contexts
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker), async programming (Celery, asyncio), and data pipelines
• Prior experience in deploying ML models in production using APIs or pipelines
