Job Summary
The Software Developer works closely with the team in the ASRP unit to automate processes and develop databases covering various academic activities.
Job Description
-
Work with data reports obtained from various systems (e.g. SIS, LMS, …). This includes accessing, downloading, data filtering and providing visualization charts.

Design relational databases and queries.

Develop automated processes’ solutions using process automation tool and workflow engine (e.g. Laserfiche).

Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain web solutions (e.g. website, user interface, dashboards) to meet the identified business needs.

Communicate with peers to exchange data to provide business analytics.

Perform assigned research activities (artificial intelligence, machine learning, …)
Job Requirements
Education And General Competencies
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, data analysis and statistics or any related field. Graduates of faculties of engineering and faculties of sciences are eligible.

Minimum cumulative grade “Very Good”.

0-3 years related experience or academic experience (Fresh Graduates are welcomed to apply)

Good problem analysis, assessment, and communication skills.

Judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Excellent planning, task organization and time management

Ability to work effectively in a team.

Very good command of written and spoken Arabic and English Languages
Technical Requirements

Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL skills (preferred MSSQL server).

Good understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.

Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.

Knowledge of one or more of backend technologies is a must (e.g. NodeJS).

Knowledge of designing RESTful APIs.
-
Knowledge of web development frameworks such as Express JS is a plus.

Knowledge of unit testing and Troubleshooting software prototypes.
-
Knowledge of basic coding languages such as Python.

Microsoft Office Applications, especially Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
