Overview

We are seeking a Software Developer (1–2 years of experience) to maintain and enhance our existing Google Sheets–based automation systems and to actively contribute to the development of our custom in-house applications.

This role requires a developer with strong JavaScript fundamentals, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to work across frontend, backend, and integrations. The initial focus will be on Google Sheets automation and system maintenance, with a clear path toward full application development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation & Existing System Maintenance (Primary Focus)

• Maintain, debug, and enhance existing Google Sheets automation systems
• Develop new automation workflows using Google Apps Script and JavaScript
• Build and improve:
• Cross-sheet and cross-spreadsheet automations
• Data synchronization, validation, and calculation logic
• Reduce manual operational work by designing reliable and reusable automation scripts
• Refactor legacy scripts to improve performance, readability, and maintainability

2. Backend & Integration Development

• Develop and integrate APIs and webhooks to connect spreadsheets with internal systems and third-party services
• Use Python for backend logic, automation services, and data processing
• Support backend architecture required for future application development
• (Nice to have) Experience with Django or similar Python frameworks

3. Frontend & Application Development (Required)

• Develop and maintain frontend components for internal tools and applications
• Build dashboards and admin interfaces using:
• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript
• A JavaScript framework such as React, Angular, or similar
• Work closely with backend and automation logic to deliver complete, functional applications
• Assist in transitioning spreadsheet-based workflows into web-based applications

Quality Assurance & Reliability

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across automation and application workflows
• Perform self-testing, validation, and debugging before deploying changes
• Implement:
• Error handling
• Logging
• Defensive coding practices
• Participate in identifying root causes of production issues and improving system stability

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–2 years of professional experience in software development or automation
• Strong fundamentals in JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with Google Apps Script
• Proven experience with Google Sheets automation
• Working knowledge of Python for backend or automation tasks
• Experience developing frontend interfaces using:
• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript
• At least one JavaScript framework (React, Angular, etc.)
• Experience working with APIs and Webhooks (REST-based)
• Solid understanding of:
• Automation workflows
• Asynchronous operations
• Data processing and validation
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable code

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Django or other Python backend frameworks
• Familiarity with Git or version control systems
• Exposure to data-heavy or operations-focused systems
• Understanding of system scalability and basic architecture concepts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
