Software Developer

Job Summary

Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. This individual will be on a long-term contract with the opportunity to convert and work in a hybrid environment in Denver, CO. This is the ideal opportunity for a driven professional with 1-2 years of experience looking to gain further knowledge in full-stack development practices.


Core Responsibilities
  • Design, modify, develop, and maintain software applications and supporting systems
  • Translate functional requirements into technical design specifications and implementation plans
  • Participate in agile development activities (e.g., 2-week sprints, standups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure code quality, consistency, and maintainability through reviews and shared technical standards
  • Build and maintain reliable front-end and back-end features across the stack
  • Develop and publish modular packages/components and APIs (e.g., internal libraries or public-style packages)
  • Maintain strong testing discipline and contribute to improving automated coverage and reliability
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across unfamiliar systems by applying systematic debugging and systems thinking
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical mastery)
  • React: 2+ years of experience with front-end development
  • NodeJS (e.g., Express/Hapi or similar): 2+ years of experience
  • Python (FastAPI preferred; Django/Flask acceptable)
  • Relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred): 2+ years of experience
  • Browser/API/E2E testing experience with at least one of: Playwright/Selenium (2+ years)
  • Linux experience
  • Full-stack development experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Containerization and deployment experience and working knowledge of CI/CD container workflows
  • WebSocket experience (e.g., Socket.IO)
  • Go (Golang) experience
  • Networking exposure (TCP/IP fundamentals, troubleshooting networked systems)
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs
  • Test-driven development (TDD) experience
  • DevOps exposure (e.g., operational ownership, CI/CD pipeline improvements, reliability practices)
Work Environment
  • Location: Denver, CO
  • Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $90,000 and $105,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
