Position:

CAREL Middle East (Dubai) is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team developing and customizing control applications for CAREL programmable controllers (PLC’s). This role focuses on building robust, efficient automation logic for HVAC/R and related systems using CAREL’s modern development environments. While our applications are typically deployed in HVAC/R, we welcome strong software engineers from industrial automation, manufacturing, process control, or embedded systems backgrounds—Prior HVAC experience is an advantage although not absolutely required.

Key Responsabilities:

• Design, develop, and test software to program CAREL controllers to meet customer and market expectations
• Work on projects following various phases, from conception to feasibility analysis and subsequent development and testing, up to the finished project in a context with a strong “drive“ for innovation
• Define detailed specifications and technical design
• Provide customer support on the adopted programming tools for application software maintenance and training

Requirements:

• Education in Computer Science, Electronics, or an equivalent technical field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Knowledge of PLC programming languages such as ST, ladder logic, FBD.
• Knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus RTU, Modbus Ethernet , Bacnet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Device Net, ControlNet, etc.
• Ability to develop software in ST, Java, Javascript, Python, C++
• Ability to developing web applications(HTML, Javascript)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical specifications
• Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase
• Ability to document requirements and specifications
• Good English proficiency requested to work with our teams all over the world.
• Teamwork, enthusiasm, "hands-on" approach, project management approach
• Good attitude in relationship and communication with colleagues, sales network, and customers

No prior HVAC/R or CAREL-specific experience is required. The emphasis is on strong programming skills, logical thinking for real-time control, and the ability to learn new applications quickly. CAREL training will be provided for promising candidates.
