Summary of the Role

We are looking for an experienced UI Developer to join our Backstage Internal Developer Platform (IDP) team at Amadeus. In this role, you’ll play an important part in enhancing the developer experience by building user-friendly, scalable, and accessible interfaces. You’ll collaborate with platform engineers, UX designers, and product owners to deliver a unified portal that supports engineering teams across Amadeus.

In This Role You’ll

Design and implement user-centric UI components for the Backstage-based IDP.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement designs from tools like Figma into functional interfaces.
Develop and maintain custom Backstage plugins to support workflows such as service catalog, software scaffolding, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) visualization.
Maintain consistency in UI architecture across domains and workflows, aligned with Amadeus’ user experience goals.
Improve interfaces for accessibility, scalability, and responsiveness, and contribute to onboarding workflows and documentation.

About You

Experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
Familiarity with Backstage or similar Internal Developer Platform frameworks.
Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD).
Knowledge of UI/UX principles and responsive design.
Experience working in agile teams and participating in sprint planning and task prioritization.
