Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – Backend/API Automation

Location: Bangalore (Remote)

About the Role:
We are looking for an SDET to join our platform team. You’ll focus on backend automation and scalable test frameworks, testing APIs across business domains (food, grocery, liquor, etc.) to ensure performance, reliability, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain automation frameworks for backend systems and APIs
• Perform API testing (REST/gRPC) using Rest Assured
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams for quality releases
• Lead test planning and execution for performance and scalability
• Keep up-to-date with latest tools and frameworks

Must-Have Skills:

• 1+ years of backend/API automation experience
• Strong Java coding skills
• Hands-on with Rest Assured, TestNG, Maven, CI/CD (Jenkins/Bitrise), Cypress
• Knowledge of backend integration and automation design patterns
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and quick learning ability

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹700,000.29 - ₹800,000.13 per year
