KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and maintain serverless applications using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and EventBridge.

Develop and manage RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support aviation data services and integrations.

Write efficient, reusable, and well-documented Python code for backend services and automation.
-
Use AWS CDK to define and deploy infrastructure as code.
-
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for automated testing and deployment.
-
Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-optimized.
-
Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using Amazon CloudWatch.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and development environments.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps, QA, and product managers.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Stay up to date with the latest AWS services and features.

Proactively explore and recommend new tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve system performance and developer productivity.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required
-
2–3 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS.

Proficiency in Python for backend development, scripting, and automation.

Experience with following AWS services Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, IAM, CDK

Good understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API development and integration.

Familiarity with GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline management.
-
Experience with Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring and logging.
-
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS):

AWS Certifications is a plus.

Good understanding of REST / GraphQL API.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.

Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.

Experience in aviation, aerospace, or transportation industry.
