RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Develops sustainable and FAA compliant solutions for Crewmembers using the Natural programming language & Adabas
-
Participates in daily scrum meetings
-
Assists with the technical designs for product/project squads
-
Interacts with business and product owners to define technical solutions for customer problems
-
Executes a continuous improvement mindset while working in their squad
-
Provides 24 x 7 on-call support (rotated among teammates) for the Crew Scheduling operation when technical problems arise
-
Evaluates analytics and error logging/tracking for critical crewmember and crew schedulers interactions with the mainframe, web applications, and mobile apps
-
Assists in defining alternate solutions for business problems when they arise

Provides estimates for potential new functionality

Consistently makes data security a priority
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

2+ years’ experience with Natural and Adabas (statements/syntax and procedural programming)

2+ years’ experience coding and debugging Natural programs and maps in a professional environment using SoftwareAG’s editors and utilities

2+ years’ experience with JCL (ability to execute programs, create files, and evaluate condition codes with JCL)
-

High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalency
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS):
-
1+ year experience in IT Crew Scheduling
-
Ability to interpret & update Crewmember Schedules, Crew Rotations, and Crew Training
-
Understanding of connections and interactions between the Crew Scheduling MVS mainframe and both Delta’s TPF systems and distributed systems
-
Ability to stage & back-off multi-library, multi-object Natural Migrations for Programs, Subprograms, Subroutines, CopyCode, PDA’s, and LDA’s
