Key Responsibilities:
- Development of PLC, HMI and SCADA software for various new and existing projects including liaising with clients to produce a functional design specification (FDS)
- Specify PLC, HMI and Scada Hardware for certain projects
- Production of PLC I/O documents
- Testing of control systems at our workshop prior to dispatch
- On site commissioning and operator training of control systems.
- Site visits to existing control systems for diagnostics/modifications
- Remote access to existing control systems for diagnostics / modifications
- Interpret and understand the requirements of the specification and produce accurate and detailed electrical drawings to allow the workshop team to manufacture and test control panels.
- Assist estimators with any queries associated with Tenders
- Ordering and monitoring materials ensuring a suitable balance between quality and price is maintained and ensure wastage is minimal.
- Provide technical guidance for various projects/customers.
- Liaising with customers. Understand their needs and manage expectations. Provide them with regular updates as required. This includes developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships as well as dealing with any problems they may encounter, scheduling, pricing, component type etc.
- Provision of guidance to workshop team when necessary to answer any queries and ensure control panels are manufactured to a high standard.
- Ensure compliance throughout all projects with relevant specifications, standards, environmental, quality and Identify potential or actual sources of problems and develop and implement appropriate solutions.
- Meet regularly with the workshop supervisor, manager and Managing Director to ensure effective communication of information relative to work in progress and job scheduling.
- Ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget and in a satisfactory condition.
- Utilise effective time management and planning skills to ensure customer needs and deadlines are met and company objectives achieved.
- Responsible for accurately closing down jobs, filling in job and timesheets with details of all materials used and hours worked in a timely manner and reporting all unresolved faults experienced.
- On occasion resolve any issues on site, identify potential sources of technical problems and develop and implement effective solutions.
- Prepare written reports for clients as required.
- Provide the Managing Director with project reports and other information required to inform future business direction.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and issued with finished control panels and all company documents are maintained and filed appropriately.
- Site work which will require extensive travel and also working in various locations and varied environments worldwide.
- On occasion carrying out electrical installation and repair work on a range of projects at our customer sites.
- On occasion carrying our breakdowns/fault finding as and when required which may be outside of normal working hours.
- Maintain all tools/equipment etc. in a clean, tidy and safe working condition and report any faults to workshop supervisor.
- Maintain all company facilities in a clean, tidy and safe working condition, segregating waste appropriately
- Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Managing Director.
- Compliance with AW Control Systems Ltd policies and procedures.
- 100% commitment and dedication is expected at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED22,000.00 - AED35,000.00 per month
