The Opportunity

A rapidly scaling AI company based in San Francisco is looking for Software Engineers to help build and deploy intelligent agent systems used by enterprise customers in real production environments. The engineering team is small, highly autonomous, and focused on delivering robust AI driven products that solve real operational problems for large organizations.

Engineers in this role are deeply involved across the entire lifecycle of what they build from early technical design and model experimentation through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement at scale. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and customers across industries such as finance, healthcare, and hospitality, turning complex workflows into dependable AI powered systems.

This role sits at the intersection of strong software engineering and applied AI, offering the chance to work hands on with modern language and voice models while maintaining production grade reliability for systems used by millions.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Designing and implementing AI driven agents capable of handling sophisticated customer interactions
• Taking full ownership of systems, including architecture, development, deployment, and iteration
• Evaluating and integrating modern text and speech models into production workflows
• Identifying recurring customer needs to inform platform capabilities and product direction
• Solving scalability, reliability, and performance challenges in live enterprise environments
• Partnering closely with customers and internal teams to deliver impactful AI solutions

What We’re Looking For

• 2–8 years of experience building backend or full stack systems at a high-performing technology company, quantitative firm, or fast growing startup
• Strong system ownership mindset and comfort working with complex, distributed services
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software in fast moving, ambiguous environments
• Passion for building production ready systems rather than prototypes
• Willingness to work in office in San Francisco (or relocate if needed)
