Employment Type: 6+ Month W2 Contract to Hire (No C2C or sponsorship)

Job Description

Talent Groups is seeking a Software Engineer to join a growing telecommunications organization. This is a hands on individual contributor role focused on designing, automating, and maintaining software systems that provision internet, cable modem, and wireless services.

The ideal candidate is self directed, results focused, and able to demonstrate measurable impact such as automation improvements and system reliability gains.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain provisioning systems for cable modem and wireless services
• Develop automation workflows using Ansible and C#/.NET to reduce manual processes
• Build and enhance web interfaces using Angular or Next.js
• Integrate with telecom vendor platforms and APIs such as Ericsson switching systems, Incognito cable modem platforms, and AppLogic environments
• Support DevOps workflows using Atlassian tools including Bamboo, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
• Maintain and optimize MySQL databases that support provisioning workflows
• Support Linux based systems and Apache web server infrastructure
• Participate in production support rotation in a live environment
• Assist with modernization efforts including migration from legacy Perl systems

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience with telecommunications provisioning for cable modem or wireless services
• Experience integrating with telecom vendor platforms such as Ericsson, Incognito, AppLogic, or similar systems
• Proven record of delivering automation or system improvement projects

Core Technical Skills

• Ansible automation
• C# and .NET backend development
• MySQL database design and performance tuning
• Linux systems administration and scripting
• Apache web server configuration
• Angular or Next.js front end development
• Atlassian tools including Bamboo, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
• VMware and virtual machine environments
• GraphQL API development

Nice to Have

• AWS or Azure exposure
• Docker or Kubernetes experience
• Perl experience for legacy migration
• 10+ years of total IT experience
