Software Engineer

About The Role

Total Wine & More is seeking a Back-End Software Engineer to join our Technology team in our Bethesda, MD office. The Back-End Software Engineer will develop software applications based on functional requirements and technical specifications following applications through to implementation. The Software Engineer will work in an Agile environment collaborating with Product Owners, QA Engineers and other developers to share coding best practices, working to ensure standardized techniques across the development team. This position reports to the Director, Software Engineering Technology.

You will

  • Work with Microsoft technologies including .NET, SQL Server + Azure/Google cloud.
  • Work with a variety of teams across the Technology department to evaluate, estimate, develop and create high impact products on schedule.
  • Perform solution analysis, translating requirements into design specifications.
  • Implement applications + services using Azure, .NET/C#, Microsoft SQL Server plus publisher/subscriber messaging systems.
  • Consult with end-user to prototype, refine, test and debug solutions.

You will come with

  • Must have Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 years related experience in Microsoft .NET framework, .NET Core, and C#.
  • 1 year of experience in: interacting with relational or NoSQL database technology, JavaScript Web UI Development, and RESTful APIs and microservices in a cloud native environment.

The exempt compensation range for this position is $126,090 – 137,600 annually. Total Wine & More considers several factors when establishing compensation.
