Position Overview:

Are you eager to join a technology and data engineering team where you can engage with cloud-based technologies and contribute to data analytics and reporting solutions? This team plays a crucial role in supporting the Home Possible and Affordable Lending reporting within the Single Family division. As a member of this team, you are a full stack developer and will collaborate with a diverse and agile group that consistently aims to deliver innovative, automated, and cost-effective solutions. Our Impact:

The Affordable Lending Development Team is responsible for creating and maintaining the FHFA Affordable Lending Reports and Home Possible application tools and software. We focus on developing and sustaining microservices, web UI tools, and ensuring the accurate and timely generation and delivery of reports to the Single Family Business Team.

Your Impact:

  • You will have a significant impact on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of next-generation applications and their support processes within the Single-Family Affordable Team.

  • You will work collaboratively with the team to detect and resolve incidents, recognize and manage defects.

  • Quickly learning new and legacy technologies and paradigms, including AI-assisted development tools, to deploy innovative and automated solutions.

  • Understanding business needs and processes; identifying solutions, presenting them, and collaborating with the team and stakeholders to determine the best approach.

  • Partnering on a DevOps team focused on, designing and building applications based on regulatory and user requirements, promoting top code quality, and addressing challenging issues related to data quality, performance tuning, and scalability.

  • Providing production support, including evaluating defects, investigating root causes, and delivering solutions to address these issues.

  • Implementing software application changes within aggressive delivery timelines.

  • Executing departmental processes in a high-quality, efficient, and team-oriented manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or any quantitative field, or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Typically has 1- 3 years of programming experience in corporate settings

  • 2+ Years of experience in Python and PySpark, or strong equivalent experience with other Object-Oriented Languages, such as Java.

  • Back End Skills: Python, PySpark, Java – FLASK/REST/Json API, SQL (Postgres)

  • Familiarity with Front End Skills: Web based application skills (Angular, JavaScript, HTML)

  • Understanding of Automation Testing: PyTest, Cucumber, Behave framework, knowledge in API Test framework

  • Familiarity with DevOps Tools: JIRA, Bit Bucket, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins CI/CD pipeline, Kubernetes, AWS

  • Prefer: GenAI, Langchain, LLMs knowledge

  • Prefer: familiarity with Informatica and/or SAS

  • Experience working on Agile teams

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $85,000 - $127,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
