Software Engineer, Data Center Infrastructure Management

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Python, Java or Kotlin.
  • Experience establishing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Experience designing and implementing data management strategies and solutions for large-scale datasets.
  • Experience building and deploying SQL data pipelines.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with building machine learning models, data pipelines, and feature engineering.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other similar cloud technologies.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

As a Software Engineer, you will join our team and focus on the data infrastructure supporting our business efforts. You will be responsible for the design, development, and expanding of data pipelines and tooling. Your work will directly contribute to identifying and surfacing key customer insights from product data to help drive business outcomes. You will use your experience with data systems, and work cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, Product Management, Data Analysts, and Go-to-Market teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Develop and manage data pipelines to ingest and process datasets (including product data, marketplace API data) to feed into our ML models.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers on the team, fostering best practices in data governance and engineering.
  • Work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, UX Designers, Data Analysts, and Go-to-Market partners (Sales/Marketing) to define requirements, develop solutions, and operationalize models.
