Software Engineer II

Job Summary:

Specright is looking to hire a Software Engineer II within our Shared Services Engineering team. In this role you will work closely with other senior engineers to design and develop software systems. You will work cross-functionally with teams including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Success.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Product teams to design and scope out new features for our core platform
• Architect solutions based on requirements document for larger features Design a data schema that will evolve with the needs of a business

Qualifications

• Minimum BS in Computer Science or related technical field
• 3+ years experience in Software Development
• Experience in React and Next.js development
• Experience in Node.js or Express.js
• Experience with testing frameworks and libraries such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright
• Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language Experience with relational or non-relational databases
• Experience building complex software systems and communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Understanding of professional software engineering practicesbest practices for the full software life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience with agile development methodology
• Experience with cloud development is a plus
• Experience with Docker is a plus
