About the Role

As a Software Engineer III, you will contribute to meaningful projects within a specific software area or product line. You will have opportunities to solve challenges, design program flows, write effective code, and conduct testing. We value curiosity, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to identify and address security needs in Java code repositories.

Work with colleagues in security, DevOps, and data engineering to apply safe coding practices and enhance automated workflows.

Create and maintain Java components that support our data platforms.

Support data integration and automation initiatives using ETL tools.

Participate in code reviews, threat modeling, and security assessments as part of a supportive team.

Share knowledge and document technical solutions to support best practices in secure development.

Engage in various data engineering tasks, benefiting from an environment that encourages learning and inclusion.

Requirements

Professional experience with Java development (Java 17+).

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles.

Experience working with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or similar.

Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and the use of SQL scripts.

Proficiency in creating and working with RESTful web services and API integrations.

Experience using version control systems such as Git.

Effective problem-solving and debugging abilities.

Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Knowledge of DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD, containerization, cloud platforms).

Understanding of Agile methodologies (such as Scrum or Kanban).

Experience using Playwright or similar tools for automated testing of web applications.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as Azure) is welcome.

Knowledge of modern monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG) and unit testing practices.
