As a Software Engineer supporting the JEDIPOWER/DINO Subtask under the GHOSTGEM Task, you’ll design, enhance, and sustain critical software systems that keep intelligence missions running securely and efficiently. Here's What Your Day-to-Day Might Include

• Develop, sustain, and troubleshoot GHOSTGEM’s suite of applications, including JEDIPOWER/DINO

• Design and implement new features, conduct testing, and integrate with COTS and FOSS software

• Develop Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Integration frameworks

• Write scripts and automation tools using Bash and Python in a Linux environment

• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL for data storage and access

• Develop, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and containerd

• Create Helm charts to deploy services within Kubernetes clusters

• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo or GitLab CI

• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to automate using Ansible

• Use messaging frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka for distributed communication

• Manage source code using Git and support team collaboration across the development lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus three (3) years of experience

• OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus five (5) years of experience

• OR seven (7) years of relevant experience in software engineering of similar scope and complexity

Required Skills

• Linux command-line experience

• Bash and Python scripting

• Java development in Linux environments

• Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Integration

• PostgreSQL or other SQL databases

• Docker and containerd containerization

• Kubernetes orchestration and Helm chart creation

• RabbitMQ or Kafka messaging frameworks

• CI/CD pipelines with Bamboo or GitLab CI

• Infrastructure as Code using Ansible

• Git source control management

Desired Skills

• NoSQL database experience (MongoDB)

• Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)

Compensation Range: $155,000.00 - $205,000.00

• The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
