Software Engineer (MySQL / Laravel / Next.js)

About the Role

You’ll be engineering modern web applications using Laravel, Next.js, and MySQL, with a focus on building scalable, maintainable, and clean solutions. Experience in the Fleet / Telematics industry is a must — we want someone who understands the workflows, challenges, and pace of logistics-driven platforms.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with:
• Laravel (APIs, services, queues, notifications, scheduling)
• Next.js (server-side rendering, modern React workflows)
• MySQL (query optimization, migrations, schema design)
• Must have shipped real production software in the Fleet Management / Telematics / Logistics domain.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and modular backend architecture.
• Ability to break down complex problems and deliver clean, scalable solutions without hand-holding.
• Strong debugging mindset — can trace issues across the stack.
• Comfortable working with Git, agile workflows, and collaborative dev environments.
• Solid grasp of performance optimization (backend + frontend).
• High personal discipline — consistent, accountable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.

Nice to Have

• Experience with MQTT, WebSockets, or real-time tracking data.
• Exposure to microservices, Docker, or cloud deployments.
• Understanding of caching layers (Redis), queues, and event-driven architecture.

What You’ll Do

• Build, improve, and maintain APIs and full-stack applications.
• Own features end-to-end — from concept to deployment.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to solve real fleet-industry problems.
• Optimize systems for speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Investigate bugs and implement fixes with minimal supervision.
• Continuously improve code quality, architecture, and documentation.
