Overview
We are seeking multiple highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic to support Headquarters of the United States Air Force, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration, SAF/SQ International Affairs/Negotiator Support.
Responsibilities
- Develop unique, tailored software analysis tools to assess a wide range of national security space issues to including Space Control/Protection, Communications and Relay, ISR, weather, and PNT.

Implement software code for analytic methodologies used by the modeling and simulation team, and the Analytic Center of Excellence within the SAF/SP Staff.

Collaborate with analysts to find useful ways to display results, and adapt software tools to show results that will be actionable by senior executive decision makers within the Department of Defense.

Use satellite orbital information to show capability and vulnerability for future space architectures.
- Implement quantitative metrics for resiliency, capacity, and mission satisfaction of space systems and their contribution to supporting Combatant Commanders and end users.
Skills Required
- 10+ years’ experience in software development related to National Security.

Self-starter and flexibility to code and debug in several programming languages to include MATLAB, Visual Basic for Applications, C/C++ and Java.

Ability to take customer requirements and translate them into software products, build analysis tools from the ground up and effectively display information to senior decision makers.

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, lead and execute studies or projects, work on tight timelines to deliver analysis products to executive members of the DoD.

Interpersonal, organizational, oral presentation, executive writing and software documentation skills. • Ability to proliferate tools and functionality across multiple domains and disparate systems.
Desired Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience in or directly supporting NSS software development projects.

Experience with national security space enterprise, to include basic astrodynamics and orbitology.

Experience with statistics, game theory, genetic algorithms, and optimization problems.

Experience developing software to enable custom hardware/software prototypes.

Experience with campaign modeling and planning, multi-domain warfare analysis.

Certification in AGI’s Systems Tool Kit software and experience with ExtendSim.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
