Job Purpose

As a QC Lead, you will be responsible for evaluating software functions and designing test protocols to ensure that products work as intended.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of quality control engineers and technicians

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines

• Conduct inspections and tests on products to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications

• Analyze and interpret test data, generate reports, and make recommendations for improvements

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions

• Train and mentor quality control team members on best practices and quality control techniques

• Create test plans, review/test requirements, create functional/non-functional tests, user stories and user journey flows

• Participate in Sprint and perform QA activities across all layers (Back-end APIs, Database, UI application)

• Plan activities and report progress against plans

• Develop and execute manual test cases and test automation scripts

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field

• Minimum 8 years in software quality assurance/testing

• Experience leading QA/QC teams, managing test plans and strategies

• Hands-on experience with automated testing and performance testing

• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments

• Proficient in software testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, Postman, Cypress)

• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices

• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)

• Experience with test automation and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git)

• Experience using AI tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate testing, automation and documentation

• Detail-oriented and methodical

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills

• Good communication skills – able to clearly report defects and QA metrics

• Professional certifications in ISTQB Advanced Level, Agile Testing, CSM/CSPO
