Software Quality Analyst

Job Summary:

We are looking for a QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing projects to meet client needs.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and project managers) to identify system requirements.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proven work experience in software development industry.
• Proven experience in manual software testing methodologies and techniques.
• Familiarity with various testing types such as functional, integration, regression, and usability testing.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency in using testing tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail, HP Quality Center).
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

Good to Have:

• Basic Automation Knowledge: Familiarity with Selenium, Postman, or similar tools is a plus.
• API Testing: Understanding of REST APIs and experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Performance Testing Exposure: Experience with tools like JMeter is an added advantage.
• Mobile App Testing Tools: Knowledge of tools like Appium or Android Studio for app testing.
• ISTQB Certification: Holding an industry-recognized QA certification is a bonus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
