Software Quality Analyst Intern

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Software Quality Assurance Intern to support our QA team in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. This internship offers hands-on experience with real-world testing processes, tools, and agile development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in testing web and/or mobile applications to identify bugs, errors, and usability issues

• Execute manual test cases and document test results clearly

• Help create and maintain test cases, test plans, and test documentation

• Report defects with detailed steps to reproduce and collaborate with developers on fixes

• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and QA review meetings

• Perform regression, functional, and basic performance testing

• Learn and follow QA best practices and software development life cycle (SDLC) processes

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field

• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and QA methodologies

• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Attention to detail and willingness to learn

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)

• Basic knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Java, Python, or JavaScript)
