Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing on web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and technical design.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases to detect software defects and ensure software quality.
• Report bugs and track them to closure.
• Conduct regression testing after defects are fixed or new features are added.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.
• Create and maintain documentation related to the QA process.
• Ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in manual software testing.
• Basic knowledge of QA processes and methodologies.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases.
• Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) is a plus.
• Experience with mobile testing (iOS/Android) is a plus but not mandatory.

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory):

• Basic knowledge of automation tools and frameworks.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
