Role Overview

We’re seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for validating the functionality, performance, reliability, and usability of our applications. In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and support teams to identify issues early, ensure smooth releases, and deliver a great user experience to our customers.

You will play a key role in defining test strategies, executing test plans, and continuously improving our quality processes across web and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements and technical specifications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing for web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate closely with development and product teams to understand features, acceptance criteria, and potential risks.
• Validate fixes and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
• Participate in release cycles, providing quality sign-off and ensuring readiness for production deployments.
• Perform basic API testing and data validation to ensure backend and frontend consistency.
• Contribute to test documentation, quality standards, and best practices to improve overall QA processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including test automation, tooling, and process enhancements.
• Communicate test progress, risks, and quality metrics clearly to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2–3+ years of in Software Quality Assurance or a similar testing role.
• Experience testing SaaS-based web applications and/or mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing techniques and defect management tools.
• Basic experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (basic understanding)
• APIs: REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, tools like Postman
• Databases: basic SQL queries for data validation
• Mobile testing: iOS/Android app testing, device compatibility, connectivity issues

Skills & Competencies

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments and sprint-based testing.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how QA fits into modern DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for product quality.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Support).

Nice to Have (Optional)

• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
• Exposure to performance or security testing concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation or utilities.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
• Exposure to performance or security testing concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation or utilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
