Lead SQA Automation Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of SQA engineers in designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Drive Behavior-Driven Development initiatives, review feature files in Gherkin and oversee Automation execution.
• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for functional, regression, performance and scalability testing.
• Collaborate closely with product management, development, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and ensure robust test coverage.
• Design and maintain test automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications using modern automation tools.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for testing efficiency, test coverage, and defect management.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in quality engineering and automation to enhance testing practices.
• Drive continuous improvements in software quality processes, tools, and best practices.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance with at least 4+ years in automation testing.
• Proven experience leading QA teams and driving quality initiative.
• Expertise in designing automation frameworks using tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar technologies. Strong proficiency with scripting languages (Java, JavaScript, or similar) for automation.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or SOAP UI.
• Familiarity with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatlngn.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
