Job Description

Star Gallery Mart is a fast-growing retail and e-commerce company in the UAE. We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our web and mobile applications.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for manual testing, test planning, defect tracking, and close collaboration with the development team to deliver high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Gathering software requirements and preparing test scenarios & Bug Reports.

- Creating, Enhancing, Debugging, and Executing Test Cases.

- Execute load and stress tests to evaluate the application function's stability and scalability. Provide performance test reports.

- Monitor and improve the testing process. Contribute to testing, analysis, reporting, Documenting quality metrics.

- Design and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product specifications and user stories

- Perform thorough manual testing across different platforms, browsers, and devices to ensure optimal functionality

- Report bugs and track them through the defect lifecycle using standard bug tracking tools

- Conduct regression testing and re-testing to verify bug fixes and maintain product stability

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying testing gaps and suggesting process enhancements

- Document test results clearly and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders on product quality

- Work in close coordination with the Developers to ensure timely delivery of testing phases for each release

*Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline

- Previous experience working as a Software Tester or QA Analyst, preferably in Agile development environments

- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly document test cases and report issues

- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams
