We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Tester to join our dynamic e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring software quality in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Design : Collaborate with the development and product teams to design test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
• Bug Tracking and Reporting : Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• API Testing: Performing API testing using Postman or Swagger.
• Database Testing: Understanding of writing SQL queries for data validation.
• Regression Testing : Perform regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on test coverage, risks, and quality concerns.
• Stay Updated : Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in manual and automation testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience : +3 years of experience in the e-commerce domain.
• Technical Skills :
• Functional Testing, API Testing, Database Testing & Reporting.
• Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to Detail : High attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle issues in complex systems.
• Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Player : Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications : ISTQB Certification or similar is a plus.
• E-commerce Experience : Previous experience working in the e-commerce industry.
• Agile Methodology : Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
