Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable soil consultant to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in soil science, biology, and chemistry, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and offer actionable recommendations on soil amendments, cover cropping, and pH adjustments. This role involves editing reports, writing, and consulting with clients about their soil results.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and prepare soil reports, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and actionable
• Provide professional recommendations for soil amendments, pH adjustments, and nutrient balancing based on lab results
• Consult directly with clients to discuss soil health and necessary treatments
• Use Adobe Illustrator to create or edit visuals related to reports
• Manage data with Excel and collaborate on reports using Google Docs
• Make recommendations for improving soil chemistry and biology to enhance client outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Agriculture, Soil Science, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Experience in soil biology and chemistry, with the ability to interpret and provide science-based recommendations
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and Google Docs
• Strong communication skills to explain technical information to clients in an understandable way
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a flexible part-time schedule

Compensation and Benefits

• $25 per hour
• Flexible work hours (0-5 hours per week)
