Staff level Geologist/ Environmental Scientist

SCHUTZE & Associates, Inc. has an opening for a full-time Staff level Geologist, Environmental Scientist or similarly qualified person in our Fremont, California office.

Job Responsibilities

· Execute/assist with various field work tasks, including groundwater monitoring well installation and sampling; soil vapor and indoor air surveys; Geoprobe soil and groundwater investigations, UST removal, etc.

· Write comprehensive environmental reports and proposals for a variety of projects.

· Interaction with clients, regulatory agencies and subcontractors.

Required

· Bachelor's Degree or higher in Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline.

· Ability to organize and complete field activities, written reports and other project tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent report writing and research skills; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Strong computer and interpersonal skills.

· Valid driver's license.

· Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Must be located within the Bay Area, California.

Preferred

· Prior experience scheduling, organizing and executing field work tasks independently.

· Proficient with Adobe Illustrator.
