SME Electromechanical is a leading electromechanical contracting company specializing in innovative, sustainable energy solutions. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Design Engineer to join our growing team in Dubai, UAE, and drive the design of cutting-edge solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.

The Role: Solar Design Engineer

As a Solar Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical design and engineering of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations and optimizing performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed solar PV system designs, including single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct performance modeling and analysis using specialized software to maximize energy yield.
• Ensure all designs comply with the latest regulations set by DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) and DM (Dubai Municipality).
• Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure the smooth execution of the design from concept to completion.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports for project tenders and regulatory submissions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical) or a closely related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in solar PV design and engineering.
• Expertise in PVsyst for performance simulation.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Helioscope and PV sketchup Design (or similar CAD software).
• Strong knowledge of DEWA and DM regulations for solar projects in the UAE is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
