Solar Engineer - CivilPosition Overview

We are seeking a qualified Solar Engineer with civil engineering expertise to join our renewable energy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, and execution of ground-mounted and rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, with a focus on civil and structural aspects of solar installations.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering

• Design civil and structural components for utility-scale, commercial, and residential solar PV projects including foundations, access roads, drainage systems, and site grading plans
• Perform structural calculations for solar module mounting systems, racking structures, and support foundations
• Conduct geotechnical assessments and coordinate soil testing to determine appropriate foundation designs
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for civil works
• Design stormwater management systems and erosion control measures for solar sites

Project Planning & Execution

• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for solar project development
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders for integrated project delivery
• Prepare technical reports, method statements, and construction drawings
• Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from contractors
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements

Construction Support

• Provide on-site technical support during construction phases
• Monitor construction quality and adherence to design specifications
• Resolve design-related issues and provide timely engineering solutions
• Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports
• Coordinate with contractors for successful project commissioning

Required QualificationsEducation & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in renewable energy or solar projects
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
