Solar PV Electrician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing solar photovoltaic systems on various types of properties, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement for solar panels and related equipment.
• Safely install mounting structures using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators when necessary.
• Assemble and secure solar panels, inverters, and wiring components according to technical specifications and safety standards.
• Perform electrical connections, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
• Utilise welding techniques where required for structural modifications or secure mounting.
• Operate heavy machinery like excavators safely during installation processes.
• Conduct testing of installed systems to verify functionality and efficiency before project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timelines.

Experience

• Previous experience in solar panel installation or related renewable energy fields is preferred.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators is essential.
• Mechanical knowledge is vital for understanding system components and assembly processes.
• Electrical experience or background in electrical systems will be highly advantageous.
• Experience with welding techniques can be beneficial for structural modifications or custom fittings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
