• What you’ll do:
  Working within the General Insurance Platform you’ll be part of a team working towards delivering solutions that help protect our customers. The Lab’s purpose is to create an industry leading experience to help our customers with their insurance needs. We strive to achieve this goal by improving our customer journey with new features and tech, simplifying our customer journeys, and improving infrastructure.
  The ideal candidate will work directly with the Senior Technology and Business Team inside the platform to shape and define the Target Solution Architecture for the whole of the Insurance, Pensions and Investment business. You will act as technology evangelist, bringing to bear your experience and your enthusiasm to help build the modern technology-led organisation.
  What you’ll need:
  Practical experience of designing and building cloud-based platforms at scale. You will know and understand the benefits and trade-offs of the various approaches to building out contemporary cloud-ready and cloud-native platforms.
  Understanding of domain driven design architectures – understanding where these are applicable and supporting practical steps towards asynchronous, events-based ways of working in this context
  A working knowledge of contemporary engineering practices
  We hope that you'll apply if:
  You intimately understand deploying and managing dynamic and data driven web applications hosted in the Cloud.
• Data Architecture, Cloud-native tech & AI knowledge
• You're able to work with minimal supervision and offer support to your team.
• You have an understanding of the entire software development lifecycle and experience in end-to-end delivery of software products.
• You have good knowledge of modern software development toolsets including cloud hosting, web application development, APIs, continuous integration and delivery.
• You can drive continuous improvement through DevOps and automation tooling.
• Working in an agile organisation is something that motivates you.
• You have effective communication skills and can clearly present ideas.
• You are motivated to deliver a large ground-breaking greenfield development!
