Role description

Role Proficiency:

Lead technical strategies and architectures for enterprise-wide large projects or systems

Outcomes:

  • Manage multiple engagements of a functional area strategic accounts and geography; providing thought leadership using industry best practices to address customer business needs
  • Define architecture for large engagements and act as design authority
  • Identify new business opportunities and services which can generate new business
  • Generate new ideas which can be converted into revenue generating platforms and tools

Measures of Outcomes:

  • Business Development (# of proposals contributed to # won # new leads generated)
  • # of Trainings Webinars Blogs written / taken
  • # white papers/document assets published / working prototype
  • # of reusable frameworks/tools/artifacts created

Outputs Expected:

New Service Design:

  • Identify potential opportunities for new service offerings based on customer voice
    partner input
    as well as industry connects and trends
  • Support the development of business case for investments with approval from senior management
  • Work with partners to co-develop a joint GTM (as applicable)
  • Develop IP/tools and framework to address the opportunity technically
  • Conduct beta testing / POC as applicable
  • Develop collaterals
    guides for GTM


Project Control and Review:

  • Perform architecture design review
  • Identify opportunities for optimization of cost / time / asset utilization in complex projects and advise relevant teams accordingly where possible
  • Provide advice to teams facing complex technical issues in the course of project delivery
  • Conduct planned and unplanned technical audits for complex projects as applicable
  • Review outputs to ensure NFRs are met
  • Validate and ensure the recommendations are high impact and reflect deep client insight


Knowledge Management & Capability Development:

  • Provide input to teams for training
    etc.
  • Identify the training needs and conduct internal sessions to meet same
  • Partner with UST Gamma to create curriculum
    assessments
    training programs and courseware based on new service offerings
    solutions
    etc.4. Update collateral on the knowledge management repository


Requirement gathering and Analysis:

  • Understand the requirements from a larger system / transformation program context
  • Validate the technology solution to ensure it integrates with existing client technologies by working with customers and other stakeholders


People Management:

  • Support technical evaluation of external and internal candidates to meet project requirements
  • Perform career guidance and performance management for junior architects
  • Set direction and mentor a team of architects
  • Create a culture that is conducive for the team to take initiatives
  • Increase team satisfaction and retention


Alliance Management:

  • Identify alliance partners based on the understanding of service offerings and client requirements
  • Develop internal capabilities and complementary toolsets to support the GTM strategy
  • Maintain relationships with partners


Technology Consulting:

  • Analyse technology landscape
    process
    tools and arrive at the solution options best fit for the client
  • Analyse Cost Vs. Benefits of solution options
  • Define the technology/ architecture roadmap for the client
  • Articulate the cost vs. benefits of options to key stakeholders in customer


Innovation and Thought Leadership:

  • Participate in external forums (seminars
    paper presentation etc.) to showcase UST capabilities and insights
  • Interact and engage with customers/ partners around new innovative ideas
    concept and assets
    as well as industry trends and implications
  • Participate in Beta testing of products / joint lab setup with customer to explore application of new technologies / products

Sales Support and Project Estimation:

  • Review collaterals for proposals
  • Conduct workshops at the client site to assist the sales team in sales support
  • Review various designs and propose appropriate technology solutions based on the understanding of the RFP
  • Review and present estimates based on high level designs to management for supporting in go-no-go decisions
  • Anchor proposal development with cross-linkages across multiple competency units to arrive at a coherent solution

  • Participate in client presentation and client visits


Solution Definition and Design:

  • Ensure alignment of the high-level architecture with the existing client need and business logic; review design prepared by architects
  • Involve external partners / horizontals as appropriate
  • Provide guidance to architects
  • Understand the various work streams and the technologies necessary to deliver on large programs
  • Resolve any issues based on industry expertise / partners leverage
  • Provide best in class technology and solution options to customers with detailed examples and case studies. Guide customer on process and technology improvements to achieve agility and quick results.


Stakeholder Management:

  • Build credibility with the client as a technical go-to person
  • Work to expand professional network in the client organization

  • Solution Structuring: Ability to use specialized knowledge of service offerings and products to carve out complex solutions / POCs for a customer based on their needs recommend technology specific accelerators / tools for the overall solution along with optimal features e.g. time savings and cost benefit. Come up with the optimal solutions leveraging the best available solutions and service offerings from various service lines
  • Tech Trends: Ability to use working knowledge of tech trends related Cloud and Infrastructure technologies and provide input on potential areas of opportunity for UST. Provide input to the junior architects on creation of technology roadmap for the client researching new products trends and best practices
  • Planning and Risk Management: Ability to use specialized knowledge to plan and manage large and complex projects as defined within UST. Implement best practices with measurable business value adds identifying risks and mitigation strategies on an ongoing basis. Implement the same for large/complex projects integrate multiple towers identifying dependencies across different streams for large and complex projects
  • IP Management: Ability to use working knowledge to build appropriately into the overall product plan/schedules under guidance; identifying existing assets and new concepts as IP
  • Use knowledge of Technology Trends to identify technologies and products relevant to UST/client in the short term (1- 2 years) within own area and multiple areas. Forecast trends on new solutions/products/ technologies required in UST; creating and reviewing technology roadmap for the UST/client

    Role Summary: The IT Infrastructure Sr Delivery Manager is responsible for driving end-to-end global service delivery across Infrastructure domains such as Datacenter, Cloud, Network, Workplace, and IT Operations. The role requires a balance of operational leadership, financial acumen, stakeholder management, and business growth focus. This position involves ensuring delivery excellence, client satisfaction, cost optimization, and proactive business development to expand existing relationships and drive new opportunities. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Delivery Leadership: • Lead global Infrastructure delivery operations across multiple accounts and service lines. • Oversee service delivery for Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Datacenter, Network, Security, and Workplace services. • Ensure SLA adherence, compliance, and continuous service improvement. • Manage transitions, steady-state operations, and transformation initiatives effectively. Financial & Cost Management: • Own P&L for delivery operations and drive profitability across all engagements. • Develop budgets, forecasts, and cost models aligned with business goals. • Optimize resource utilization and operational costs without compromising quality. Stakeholder & People Management: • Build and maintain strong relationships with global clients, internal stakeholders, and delivery teams. • Partner with business, pre-sales, and account leadership to align delivery objectives with client expectations. • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global delivery team. Business Development: • Collaborate with sales and account teams to identify new business opportunities within existing clients. • Contribute to proposal development, RFP responses, and solution presentations. • Drive revenue growth through proactive engagement, upselling, and cross-selling infrastructure services. • Represent the organization in client meetings, steering committees, and business reviews. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Experience: • 20+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure delivery and operations within an IT Services organization. • Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-location delivery teams (500+ FTEs preferred). • Strong understanding of Datacenter, Cloud, Network, Security, and End-User Computing domains. • Demonstrated expertise in financial and cost management, including P&L ownership. • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. • Experience driving business growth and supporting pre-sales or client expansion activities. • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, automation, and service transformation initiatives. ________________________________________ Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. • ITIL Expert, PMP, or Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure / GCP) preferred. ________________________________________ Key Attributes: • Strategic thinker with a strong business and delivery orientation. • Strong financial acumen and operational discipline. • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. • Customer-focused with a proven ability to manage senior-level relationships. • Results-driven, with a passion for growth and innovation.
