We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to take ownership of the stability, performance, and evolution of the Sirvis eCommerce marketplace platform and its related digital services. You will design end-to-end solutions across business, application, data, and infrastructure layers, ensuring data integrity and alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
Reporting to the Platform Architect, you will execute platform direction and standards, and support roadmap definition and delivery. You will translate business goals into pragmatic designs and solution options that drive speed, quality, and security.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the product team and business partners to capture requirements and translate them into high level solution designs. Highlight prerequisites, risks, and performance impact.
- Support creation and evolution of the roadmap. Provide structured inputs, estimates, and dependencies to inform prioritization.
- Contribute to clear functional and non-functional requirements. Define acceptance criteria tied to outcomes.
- Document the solution architecture. Produce context, sequence, and state diagrams. Maintain data flows, interface contracts, and decision records.
- Align designs with architecture review, security, and data privacy requirements. Address threats early and plan controls.
- Design integrations with on premises and cloud systems. Shape inbound and outbound flows for master data, catalogs, pricing, availability, orders, invoices, and returns.
- Promote API first and event first approaches. Use contract first specifications. Define versioning, idempotency, correlation identifiers, and error handling.
- Establish canonical data models and mapping rules across domains. Keep interface and service catalogs current.
- Set the testing approach. Plan contract, performance, resilience, and security testing.
- Enforce observability. Logging, tracing, metrics, SLIs, SLOs, and actionable alerts.
- Prepare runbooks and operational readiness. Plan capacity for seasonal peaks and onboarding spikes.
- Lead RFI and RFP evaluations using objective technical criteria.
- Promote Agile delivery and CI/CD with DevSecOps practices.
- Guide engineers and vendors through build, integration, and cutover.
- Adhere to guidance from the Platform Architect. Seek approval for exceptions to standards. Escalate platform level decisions promptly.
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
- University Degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 3+ years in solution architecture or senior engineering for e-commerce or marketplace platforms, B2B or B2C.
- Hands-on experience as a developer, consultant, or similar delivery role within the past 7 years.
- Proven experience in architecture principles using SOA patterns & TOGAF frameworks or similar.
- Product experience & hands-on in SAP e-Commerce Platform, Spartacus and SAP S4 ERP backend or any similar technology.
- Certification in SAP CX products such as SAP CCV2 , CPI (BTP) or equivalent is recommended.
- Understand different integration patterns of REST, ODATA, SOAP, GraphQL and have proven experience in abstracting data & processes through a re-usable API architecture.
- Understand hosting models using hybrid architecture models - on-premise & cloud solutions (Azure, AWS,…) using IaaS, Paas, SaaS and their impact on the product lifecycle
- Agile delivery experience with scaled frameworks. Strong CI/CD and DevSecOps experience. Experience with the Scaled Agile framework will be considered an advantage.
- Hands on development background in modern languages and web technologies.
- Strong communication and influencing skills. English proficiency.
