Solutions Engineer (Dubai)

The role of Solution Engineer is positioned exactly at the intersection of business and IT. You ensure that wishes, ideas, and bottlenecks from within the organization are translated into concrete, working solutions. You analyze requirements, convert them into clear user stories and specifications, and safeguard the quality of delivered outcomes.

You are closely involved in managing releases and hotfixes and ensure that new functionalities are properly tested, implemented, and documented. You also look beyond today: actively contributing ideas on automation, scalability, and continuous improvement of our applications and processes.

You work closely with colleagues from Operations, Finance, HR, Sales, and IT, and coordinate with suppliers and other stakeholders. While most of your colleagues are based at our head office in Erp, the Netherlands, you will be working from our office in Dubai. Thanks to your overview, analytical skills, and communication style, you create alignment and support. You are given plenty of room to work independently, take ownership, and help build the digital future of Van den Bosch.

In this role, you will translate business needs into clear user stories and functional or technical specifications. You design solutions and ensure seamless integration within existing systems and processes. You also coordinate releases and hotfixes and perform acceptance and regression testing. During demos and scoping sessions, you validate delivered functionalities and proactively identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, and automation. In addition, you prepare documentation and provide training to end users. You do all of this in close collaboration with both internal teams and external suppliers to achieve the best possible results.

Your profile

• A completed bachelor’s degree in IT, (Industrial) Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a comparable field;
• At least 3 years of experience in solution engineering, business analysis, or IT project roles;
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly explain complex issues;
• Good command of the English language;
• A structured, results-driven way of working with a strong sense of ownership;
• The ability to easily switch between different departments and organizational levels.
• Current residence in Dubai
