Sommelier/Server - Sag Harbor, NY

We are seeking a knowledgeable and service-driven Sommelier to lead and elevate our wine
program. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy, guest-focused environment
and is passionate about curating exceptional wine experiences while driving sales.
You will play a key role in shaping our beverage identity, enhancing guest experience, and
contributing directly to revenue growth through thoughtful recommendations and strong floor
presence.

Key Responsibilities
While leading wine service, this role is fully integrated into the dining room floor and includes taking
tables, managing a section, and participating in standard service responsibilities.

Wine Service & Guest Experience
? Provide expert wine recommendations tailored to guest preferences and menu selections
? Deliver polished, engaging tableside wine service
? Drive high-value bottle sales through storytelling and guest connection
Sales & Revenue Growth
? Actively contribute to increasing wine sales, especially premium bottles ($500+)
? Identify opportunities to elevate check averages through pairings and upselling
? Maintain strong awareness of inventory to guide sales strategy
Program Support
? Assist in maintaining and updating the wine list
? Support ordering, inventory management, and vendor relationships
? Ensure proper storage, rotation, and condition of all wines
Team Training & Collaboration
? Educate front-of-house staff on wine knowledge and sales techniques
? Lead tastings and ongoing staff training sessions
? Work closely with management to align wine program with overall concept


Qualifications
? 2+ years experience as a sommelier or in a high-end wine-focused service role
? Strong knowledge of Old World and New World wines
? CMS, WSET, or equivalent certification preferred
? Proven track record of driving wine sales in a restaurant environment
? Excellent communication and hospitality skills
