SORT INSPECTOR

ROLE SUMMARY:

This role involves examining sample parts and to identify defects, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct thorough inspections of finished orders, to identify any defects or non-conformities.
• Utilize various inspection tools and equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to measure and verify dimensions and quality.
• Record inspection results and maintain detailed reports on the quality and compliance of inspected materials.
• Place failed inspection parts on hold
• Work closely with production and quality assurance teams to communicate inspection results and recommend corrective actions.
• Enter production data into computer system
• Assist with final shipping packaging

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Excellent organizational skills.
• Great attention to details.
• Great ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Speak, read, and write English preferred
• Basic mathematical skills and/or the ability to use a calculator
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to create and maintain cooperative, team building relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in quality inspection or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in metal inspection, quality control, or a related field is preferred.
• Forklift license
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in a manufacturing company preferred
