We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager – Proprietary Chassis to lead strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cost optimization for key chassis components.

Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Ownership

• Build and manage the supply chain for proprietary chassis systems including suspension, brake systems, alloy wheels, bearings, tyres, chain drive systems, latches, locks, ignition locks, etc.

Vendor Development

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and domestic suppliers with strong design and manufacturing capabilities.

Negotiation & Cost Management

• Drive competitive pricing strategies while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.
• Conduct should-cost analysis and negotiate optimized BOM costs.

Supplier Program Management

• Collaborate with engineering and program teams for development timelines and technical requirements.
• Oversee supplier-level micro activities to maintain confidentiality and meet program schedules.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure chassis components meet durability, safety, and certification standards (ISO/IATF).
• Manage supplier audits, quality checks, and timely reporting.

Risk Mitigation

• Develop dual-sourcing strategies, monitor supplier risks, and safeguard IP.
• Track supplier performance to prevent risks impacting project or manufacturing timelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, R&D, program teams, and department heads to ensure supply chain readiness for product launches.

What You Bring

• 7–10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within automotive or heavy engineering.
• Strong technical expertise in sourcing dynamic and functional chassis components (suspension, brakes, etc.).
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Proven ability to build and scale supplier networks across India (North, Central, West & South).
• Hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, supplier audits, and quality systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Odoo) and advanced supply chain tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Bengaluru and travel frequently for supplier visits.
