BWC’s core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC’s seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manages the Agency Request to Purchase (RTP) process and provides recommendations to Sourcing Supervisor and other staff regarding best method of procuring item(s).
  • Assist procurement staff in determining types of sourcing events along with solicitation development to ensure business requirements and statements of work are comprehensive and clearly articulate with the services needed to achieve BWC’s business objectives and provide value and support regarding the strategic direction of BWC.
  • Procuring of IT Consultants and assisting with other IT related purchases when needed.
  • Assist with managing contracts and sourcing events to ensure that important dates and deadlines are met.
  • Identify potential risks in solicitations being developed and within the procurement processes and develop risk mitigation strategies to help mitigate the risk, ensuring continuity of operations and minimizing disruptions.

Qualifications
42 mos. exp. or 42 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing to include exp. in performing spend analysis, developing sourcing strategy & evaluating vendor performance.

  • Or completion of undergraduate core in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management or logistics, supply chain management, operations management or other sourcing related field; 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.

  • Or Completion of graduate core in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management or logistics, supply chain management, operations management or other sourcing related field; 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.

  • Or 24 mos. exp. as Sourcing Analyst, 64512.

  • Or 12 mos. exp. as Senior Sourcing Analyst, 64513.

  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
