Position Overview

The Sourcing and Production Manager will lead Sourcing and Production functions, as well as cross-functional collaboration to drive right product, at the right cost, delivered on time.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for costing and negotiating
  • Oversee the Production process from development to order placement through delivery
  • Work closely with suppliers on supply or delivery issues or developments
  • Supports management on process flow and implementations
  • Responsible for materials staging, order placement, and delivery confirmation with Mill and Factories
  • Responsible for leading cross-functional efforts to complete the approval process from completed BOM handoff from design, for color and components approvals, technical follow up, fit approvals, pre-production, testing and TOP approvals
  • Responsible for ship modes and vessel approvals to ensure on time delivery
  • Partners with Offshore Merchandising and QA teams to ensure quality of product from start of production through shipping
  • Responsible for program placement with overseas mills, factories, and offices in a timely manner, with proper program specific TNAs and with the right capacity allocation and production planning, to meet contracted deliveries. In Season Collaboration with Regional Production teams on Production status/accuracy.
  • Oversees the timely update of POs in the system. Enforces the practice of timely bookings by factories, and responsible for the approval of correct vessel schedules, in line with customer deliveries.

Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of relevant Industry experience
  • Understanding of fabrics and trims, YY, CM, and Cost Components in a Garment.
  • General knowledge of Manufacturing process, product testing and compliance.
  • Experience with Fabric and Materials staging and platforming.
  • Able to work well cross-functionally.
  • Must be a Problem Solver and Proactive
  • Must have excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work with multiple teams
  • Ability to communicate well with Factories as well as suppliers at all levels and all levels of internal teams within DGUSA
  • Understanding of fabrics and trims development
  • Overseas travel experience preferred
  • Business Specific Experience (Gender, product, etc).
  • Must be proficient in Word and Outlook
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
  • Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills and sense of urgency
  • This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our Secaucus, NJ office


PAY RATE: $100,000/yr-$115,000/yr
