Döhler Turkey is looking for an "Sourcing Specialist" to be employed in our Istanbul Maltepe Office with following qualification

Your Role

• Creating and tracking contracts in the system,
• Preferably specialized in pulses and spices categories, with experience in raw material procurement and knowledge of IQF (individually quick frozen) products.
• Operation of strategic purchasing decision mechanisms (price advantage, product shortage, surplus etc.),
• Controlling the price and availability of materials for a new product project and/or investment with relevant business units,
• Searching new opportunities among market players/new producers,
• Proactive decision to create trade business,
• Organizing raw material samples according to availability and guiding teams in this sense in new product projects,
• Adding a new product to the portfolio and/or alternative product approval tracking for a material in the portfolio,
• Weekly reporting and summary presentation to management,
• The first check of the compliance of the documents with the Turkish Regulation in the import of new products,
• Contribution to digitalization for process improvements and cooperation with relevant units,
• Supplier payment tracking, negotiating payment terms according to market conditions,
• Effectively monitor subcontracted production processes and ensure necessary coordination with manufacturers.
• Creating and following up purchase orders through SAP or the ERP system in use,
• Taking necessary actions in accordance with food legislation and import regulations,
• Actively managing operational processes related to import and logistics,
• Demonstrating strong planning and organizational skills with effective communication abilities.

Your Profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in purchasing, preferably in the food industry,
• Proficiency in SAP is preferred,
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English,
• Strong communication skills,
• Analytical thinking with innovative point of view,
• Willing to take initiative and responsibility.
• Ability to travel to locations within Turkey and Iran.
