Job Title: Sous Chef

Location: Pyramid Cafe Lounge & Bar – Chandigarh and multiple locations (Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttarakhand, etc.)
Department: Kitchen / Culinary Operations
Reports To: Head Chef / Corporate Chef

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and creative Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Pyramid Cafe Lounge & Bar. The Sous Chef will assist in menu planning, kitchen operations, food production, and maintaining quality and hygiene standards across multiple outlets. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage teams efficiently in a high-volume restaurant and lounge environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow in coordination with the Head Chef.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following the restaurant’s multi-cuisine and continental menu.
  • Assist in designing and developing new dishes, specials, and seasonal menus.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control for consistency across outlets.
  • Train, mentor, and guide junior chefs and kitchen staff to maintain culinary standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (FSSAI standards).
  • Maintain inventory and coordinate with the purchase team for raw material requirements.
  • Control food costs, minimize wastage, and optimize kitchen resources.
  • Manage kitchen schedules, staff rosters, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with service staff and management to enhance guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a multi-cuisine or continental kitchen, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian, Continental, and Fusion cuisines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and support different outlet locations when required.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment maintenance and modern cooking techniques.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹43,823.87 per month
